New research from the New England Complex Systems Institute comes to the same conclusion as our simple model, namely to reduce wealth inequality one must directly redistribute wealth. These results are discussed in a popular article, which states that “the math points to targeted programs that redistribute wealth to the poor as the way to close the inequality gap and improve the health of the economy as a whole.”
